At the chosen time we will meet in front of the Town Hall to start this fascinating free tour of Jávea. Ready to explore the charms of one of the most beautiful towns in Alicante? Here we go!
After the presentations, we will start the tour immersing ourselves in the rich history of Jávea while we approach its most iconic places. We will discover the evolution of the town from its beginnings to the 20th century.
We will take a break at the municipal market of Abastos. Did you know that in the seventeenth century it occupied the space where the convent of the Barefoot Augustinian Nuns was located? Then, we will continue the visit in the church of San Bartolomé, whose origins date back to the fourteenth century, representing a magnificent example of the Valencian Gothic style.
Príncipe de Asturias Street will be another of the places we will visit, home of the old wall of Jávea built in the nineteenth century as a defense against Napoleonic troops.
In this free tour of Javea, we will not only contemplate its most outstanding sites, but we will also immerse ourselves in the fascinating legends that are hidden among the squares, castles and corners of this popular destination on the Costa Blanca.
Two hours later, we will conclude our journey by saying goodbye on Federico García Lorca Street, an enriching experience full of history and mystery!
